The December Board of Education meeting was filled with celebrations of outstanding achievements across the district:
Daisy Woods, Kindergarten Teacher at Orvis Risner Elementary (pictured middle), was honored as the 2024 National Indian Education Association Teacher of the Year.
Sophia Long, a student at Edmond North (pictured middle right), was recognized for achieving a perfect ACT score.
The Edmond North Varsity Cheer Team (pictured bottom left) earned recognition as the 6A State Cheer Academic Champions.
The Edmond Memorial Volleyball Team (pictured middle right) was celebrated for winning the 6A State Championship.
The Edmond Memorial Boys Cross Country Team (pictured bottom right) was recognized as the 6A State Academic Champions.
Ike Emegano, Edmond North Girls Soccer Coach, and Cody Murray, Edmond North Boys Golf Coach (pictured top right), were named Coaches of the Year.
The Edmond Santa Fe Band (pictured top left) was honored for winning a regional title.
