Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI) and a 20-year Air Force veteran. A married father of two, he grew up in Enid, OK where he was part of the Enid High School AFJROTC program. Lt Col Chown received his commission in 2002 as a Distinguished Graduate of Air Force ROTC after graduating from Oklahoma State University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Physics and Mathematics. He continued his education in the Air Force earning a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Flight Test Engineering from Air University. Lt Col Chown served as a B-52H aircraft commander, MQ-9 Instructor/Flight Examiner, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Test Pilot, and acquisitions Materiel Leader. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and is a command pilot with more than 2,200 flying hours in the T-37, T-38, B-52H, and MQ-9. He has flown combat and combat support missions in Operation Enduring Freedom.
