FAFSA Resources

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, in order to graduate from a public high school accredited by the State Board of Education, students shall complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Completing the FAFSA is crucial for students seeking financial assistance for college or career technical education. It determines eligibility for federal financial aid, including grants, loans, and work-study programs. Many states, colleges, and CareerTech's also use FAFSA information to award their own scholarships and aid. By submitting the FAFSA, students can access financial support, potentially reducing the burden of tuition and related expenses and making education more affordable and accessible. Additionally, some scholarships require a completed FAFSA, and filling it out early can improve the chances of receiving aid. Ultimately, the FAFSA is a key step in unlocking various educational financial resources.
