Farewell from Mr. Pittenger
“I have been blessed to be a part of the educational community in Edmond for over a decade. I have always said “you can’t find a bad school in Edmond” and to this day I believe that with all of my heart. I have been blessed to serve our community and the students of North High School for over a decade. I painted on the walls of that school, “through these halls walk the finest students in the nation.” Not only have we proven that fact in the Arts, Athletics and Academics, but we have built a learning community that sincerely believes it as well. The culture of maximizing the potential of students, doing our best to know them by name and need, and providing support through their learning struggles is present now more than ever.
It is with that confidence in our people that I have decided to step into a new challenge with the hopes of positively impacting students across the state. I will be leaving Edmond North to accept a position with the State Department of Education in the coming weeks.
I would like to say “Thank You” to the staff, faculty, parents and mostly, the students for the wonderful memories I will take along with me and for the opportunity to lead such a wonderful group of students, parents and consummate professionals.
Great things lie ahead for Edmond North and I consider myself lucky to have been a part.
Thank You again and remember, once a Husky, Always a Husky…”
